Registration

ECSD is going GREEN! You will notice the next time you come to register for a program you will no longer need to fill out a registration form. We have updated our software as well so we will be asking for your family's information. Please be patient as we learn our new system!

There are four simple ways to register:

PLEASE NOTE: As of April 30 our online registration will be changing. You will now need to set up a username and password in order to register for programs.

The registration process

  1. Download, print and complete a registration form.
  2. Submit the registration form and payment prior to the start of the program. Please note, some leagues and programs may have earlier registration deadlines (listed in the program description) to allow us to organize teams, ensure minimum participation numbers, arrange transportation, etc.
  3. Please register early! Most programs/activities require a minimum number of participants needed in order to run the program. If the minimum is not met, the program will be cancelled.
  4. No news is good news: If you have registered for a class or program, we will contact you only if there is a problem with your registration. If you do not hear from us, please assume you are registered.
  5. Registrations and reservations will not be accepted over the phone and without payment.

Registration Policies

Refunds

Full refunds or credits will be granted upon request in the event that a program is cancelled by ECSD. If a refund is requested, a check for the refund amount will be mailed within two weeks. Participants who wish to cancel their registration before the program starts will be charged a $5 administrative fee for a refund request (there is no charge for a credit request). Refunds are not given once a program has started. If a participant registers online, ECSD will refund the program fee only. The service fee charged by our online software, Active, will not be refunded.

Returned checks

There is a $15 penalty for any returned checks. This payment, along with payment for the program must be submitted to the ECSD in cash or with a bank check. No participation in any programs will be permitted until full payment is made.

Age requirements

Please be aware of age requirements for youth programs. Children must meet the specified age and/or grade requirements during the program period. Age requirements must be adhered to for a variety of factors, including but not limited to participant safety, child care ratios, age-appropriate programming and program times.

Cancellations

If a program is cancelled due to inclement weather, the ECSD will attempt to contact each participant in the program. Participants should also check the ECSD Web site home page, or tune in to WERZ 107.1, WOKQ 97.5 and Channel 6. If school is cancelled or released early, the ECSD will not hold any programs.

Non-residents

Some programs are limited to Eliot residents only. Eliot resident refers to one who has Eliot residence in the immediate family only. Programs open to non-residents require an additional $10 fee for programs over $10. Programs under $10 require an additional $5 fee.

Request policy

All special requests must be made in writing prior to the end of the program registration
period. This includes: teammate requests, coach requests and practice days/times. While
we will make every attempt to accommodate reasonable requests, we cannot guarantee
that they will be fulfilled.

Waiting list

All registrations are accepted on a “first come, first served basis.” Enrollment can not be guaranteed. If the program is filled, you will be placed on a waiting list. If an opening becomes available, an ECSD staff member will notify you.

Scholarships

The ECSD has designated scholarship money for residents of Eliot who wish to participate in one of the department’s sponsored activities and/or summer programs. Scholarships are available to individuals and families of Eliot that demonstrate a financial need. Applications and applicants’ names will remain confidential.

Photos

On occasion, the ECSD may take photographs at various programs and events to be used for marketing and promotional purposed. If you do not want your child to be photographed, please note this on your registration form.
