Senior Shopping

ECSD sponsors monthly senior citizen shopping trips. This service is $2.00 for Eliot seniors. Non-residents pay $4.00. pick-up and drop-off is at Baran Place. You must reserve your space in advance by calling the ECSD (207-451-9334) the Friday before the trip.

Foot Care Clinic

Sponsored by York Hospital, this clinic provides seniors with lower leg and foot massages, foot inspections, toenail care and a foot soak in warm water. Appointments fill up quickly. Call (207) 451-9334 to make an appointment or to put your name on our waiting list.

Eliot Senior Citizens Monthly Meetings

The Eliot Senior Citizens group meets the second Wednesday of every month. Join us to stay informed about senior issues and events in Eliot. Meetings include lunch and guest speaker o entertainment. This program is free to all seniors.

Senior Clambake

Senior ClambakeEnjoy your choice of lobster or lobster roll served with steamers, corn on the cob, roll, drink and dessert. The Youth Bound Summer Program will once again be on hand to serve your meal to you for this afternoon. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will be on sale beginning June 1st. Deadline to purchase tickets is Tuesday, July 14th. Please call for more information.

 

Senior Trips

Hurd Manor & Johnson’s Restaurant, North Berwick

Hurd Manor, the magnificent 22-room Victorian mansion in North Berwick, is now open for group tours. The 55-minute guided tour will explore the history, architecture, legends, ghost stories and behind-the-scenes aspects of the 1893 mansion. A stop at Riverside Farm will also be on our agenda for the day.

Topsfield Fair

Topsfield Fair takes pride in having nearly 300 vendors and in offering our patrons a wide variety of quality goods, services, demonstrations, and food. We’ll arrive as a group and then meet up again to come back home. Your time at the fair will be spent going at your own pace. Admission on this day also includes a 2:00pm show featuring Chubby Checker and the anniversary of the “Twist” celebration.

Freeport & Maple Hill B&B

Once again we’ll venture out on one of our most popular trips. We’ll visit LL Bean and the surrounding shops. Then off to Maple Hill B&B for lunch. Our hosts Chip & Janet will treat us to a scrumptious meal and an even more delicious dessert.

Governor’s Restaurant & Holiday Shopping

It’s time to finish what we started…holiday shopping! Our trip will take us to the Christmas Tree Shop, Cabela’s, Dollar Tree and Reny’s. In between all of our shopping we’ll take time to stop for lunch at Governor’s Restaurant. Once we recharge we’ll continue to shop until we drop. Lunch is included.

McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center

The Discovery Center has an amazing collection of innovative, interactive exhibits to explore. Delve into the worlds of astronomy, aviation, Earth and space sciences and become immersed in this entertaining learning environment. There are programs at the Discovery Center for all ages! Cost includes Center admission and show. Lunch on your own.

Newick’s & Newington

Chowder, onion rings and seafood…oh my! Getting out with friends for an afternoon of food and fun is a great way to make the long Maine winter days pass quicker and lunch at Newick’s is just the place. On our trip we’ll find some sales at the Fox Run Mall visit the Dollar Store and see what’s on clearance at the Christmas Tree Shop.
