ECSD Summer Camps

The ECSD offers three summer camps for children in preschool through 8th grade. Pee Wee Play is offered to 3-5 year olds, KidsPLAY is offered to kids enrolled in Kindergarten-5th grade in the fall of 2011 and Youth Bound is offered to kids enrolled in 6th-8th grade in the fall of 2011. We also offer several Summer Sports Camps, from golf to soccer and multi-sport to football!

Summer Camp Registration

2011 Camp Dates: KidsPLAY: June 27-August 19 (closed July 4). Youth Bound: June 28-August 11 (Tues, Wed & Thurs Only).

Registration for the KidsPLAY Summer Program and Youth Bound will be accepted beginning March 1st. This will reserve each participant’s spot in the program. This includes completion of medical and release information forms and payment of initial registration fee.

Registration Fee: New Campers: R $55.00; NR $75.00 (Includes 2 t-shirts, and Orientation day, which includes lunch and YMCA swim test). Siblings R $15.00; NR $25.00 each. Campers who participated in 2010 Summer Program: R $15.00; NR $25.00 (includes 2 t-shirts). If registering for KidsPLAY and Youth Bound, please write seperate checks. KidsPLAY checks should be made out to KidsPLAY and Youth Bound checks should be made out to ECSD.

Scholarships: May 15th is the deadline for all scholarship applications. (Eliot residents only.)

Daily Registration: Sign-ups for the days you wish to select will begin on May 2nd. Our events calendars will be available in late April. Basic camp (9:00am-4:00pm) is $25.00 per day and Extended camp (7:30am-5:30pm) is $28.00 per day. After June 15, $30.00 per day. KidsPLAY participants must register for a minimum of 10 days for the summer. Youth Bound participants must register for a minimum of 5 days for the summer.

KidsPLAY Summer Program

KidsPLAY Summer Program is GROWING! There has been so much demand for this program that we will be increasing our enrollment for the Summer Program and offer two age groups, Kindergarten-2nd and 3rd-5th grades. KidsPLAY will utilize the EES Cafeteria, Gym and playgrounds while on site.

The KidsPLAY summer program is designed to provide a fun and exciting summer of activities. Children will have the opportunity to participate in sports and exercise, arts and crafts, games and trips.

KidsPLAY is licensed by the state of Maine as a childcare provider. View our Parent Manual for more details.

Youth Bound

Youth Bound is a summer program open to children entering 6th through 8th grades in the fall. The program will consist of day trips on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Pick up and drop off will be at the Marshwood Middle School. Popular trips include Portland Seadogs games, an overnight camping trip, Funtown, Water Country and more. Pee Wee Play

This program is for our youngest campers to experience a taste of summer camp. It includes various physical activities, arts and crafts projects, and snack time. The goal of the Pee Wee play is to help kids make new friends, participate in craft projects, play games, and have lots of fun. All children participating in this program must be potty trained.

 

Junior Counselor Leadership Program

This program is designed for youth entering 9th-10th grade and will operate as a component of KidsPLAY and Youth Bound. Participants will assist the camp staff in preparing activities; participate in the daily activities of can and a few special activities just for them. The program participants will report to the Senior Group Leader to ensure that the youth are getting appropriate amount of supervision and structure. Space is limited and each potential candidate will go through an interview and review process. There is a fee for this program. Click here for an application. Marshwood Youth Football Camp

This camp will be designed to develop fundamentals of football in a safe, encouraging environment. Campers will wear helmets and shoulder pads. Members of the Marshwood High School Football Team and Coaching Staff will direct the camp.

Marshwood Spread Option Camp

Marshwood HawkThis camp will be designed to develop more detailed fundamentals of football in a safe, encouraging environment.

Marshwood High School Football Camp

Marshwood HawkTopics Covered: Speed and Agility Drills, Chalkboard / Playbook Discussions, Individual, Group and Team Offensive Football Drills and Skills, Individual, Group and Team Defensive Football Drills and Skills, Punt, Pass + Kick Competitions, and 7 on 7 Touch Football Games.

Junior Golf at the Ledges Golf Club

This program, taught by PGA Professionals, will focus on key fundamentals of the golf swing with the goal of introducing all aspects of the golf game to participants through hands on instruction, games, contests and golf course experience. The three day clinic will teach on-course etiquette, putting, chipping and full swing fundamentals. The goal is for each participant to have fun while gaining the experience necessary to play a round of golf.

US Sports Institute ~ Multi-Sport Camp

US Sports InstituteExperience over 15 different sports from around the world with the US Sports Institute. All activities will take place in an atmosphere which promotes good sportsmanship teamwork and most of all fun. Campers will receive Technical Instruction in each sport then experience the sport in a realistic game situation as well as participating in the exciting USSI World Cup Competition. Campers will receive a t-shirt and certificate. This is the only sports camp truly dedicated to children of all sporting abilities.

US Sports Institute ~ Sports Squirts

US Sports InstituteThe Sport Squirts program introduces children aged 3 to 5 to a variety of sports such as Soccer, T-ball, Basketball, Lacrosse and Hockey, all taking place in a safe structured environment ensuring learning is taking place. Activities are designed to evoke a child’s imagination in which they can Find Nemo, send Shrek into a spin or capture Jellyfish with Sponge Bob Square Pants. All activities promote hand-eye coordination, movement and balance and most importantly Fun, Fun, Fun.

US Sports Institute ~ Tennis

US Sports InstituteUSSI tennis staff will follow curriculums and guidelines laid out by the USTA, which includes the highly appraised Quickstart Tennis format.  At every level, participants will learn the basic fundamentals in stroke production, court movement and footwork skills, all in a low pressured environment. Most importantly it’s all about fun, with games, games and more games during each session! This Tennis Camp is suited to players who are of beginner to intermediate level. Children need to provide racket.

Seacoast United Soccer Camp

Seacoast UnitedJoin the Seacoast United Soccer club for a week-long soccer camp. This program is geared towards recreational and travel level players who are looking to have a great time while working on their individual skills. Participants will play lots of fun, ‘teaching games’ which utilize new and existing skills while using players’ imaginations. Other exercises are used to introduce more challenging skills which we encourage our players to try in our scrimmage time at the end of each day.  Participants should bring a ball, shin guards, and a drink each day. 

Seacoast United Grassroots Camp

Seacoast UnitedJoin the Seacoast United Soccer club for a week-long soccer camp for boys and girls, of all ability levels. Participants should bring a ball, shin guards, and a drink each day. This is a parent participation class.
