ECSD Summer Camps

The ECSD offers three summer camps for children in preschool through 8th grade. Pee Wee Play is offered to 3-5 year olds, KidsPLAY is offered to kids enrolled in Kindergarten-5th grade in the fall of 2011 and Youth Bound is offered to kids enrolled in 6th-8th grade in the fall of 2011.

Summer Camp Registration

Registration for the KidsPLAY Summer Program and Youth Bound will be accepted beginning March 1st. This will reserve each participant’s spot in the program. This includes completion of medical and release information forms and payment of initial registration fee. 2011 registration fees TBD.

Participants must attend the program for a minimum of 10 days for the summer. Sign-ups for the days you wish to select will begin on May 3rd. Our events calendars are available below. Basic camp (9:00am-4:00pm) is $25.00 per day and Extended camp (7:30am-5:30pm) is $28.00 per day.

KidsPLAY Summer Program

Rossie, Amanda, Sandra, Jess & EmiliaThe KidsPLAY summer program is designed to provide a fun and exciting summer of activities for children entering kindergarten through fifth grade in the fall. Children will have the opportunity to participate in sports and exercise, arts and crafts, games and trips.

KidsPLAY is licensed by the state of Maine as a childcare provider and has a maximum daily enrollment of 50 children. View our Parent Manual for more details. Look here for our 2011 camp calendar, available at the end of April.

Youth Bound

Flyod and camp kidsYouth Bound is a summer program open to children entering sixth through eighth grades in the fall. The program will consist of day trips three days a week alternating with on-site days at the Marshwood Middle School. Popular trips include Portland Seadogs games, an overnight camping trip, Funtown, Water Country and more. View our Parent Manual for more details. Pee Wee Play

This program is for our youngest campers to experience a taste of summer camp. It includes various physical activities, arts and crafts projects, and snack time. The goal of the Pee Wee play is to help kids make new friends, participate in craft projects, play games, and have lots of fun. All children participating in this program must be potty trained.

 

Junior Counselor Leadership Program

Junior Counselor and campersThis program is designed for youth entering 9th-10th grade and will operate as a component of KidsPLAY and Youth Bound. Participants will assist the camp staff in preparing activities; participate in the daily activities of can and a few special activities just for them. The program participants will report to the Senior Group Leader to ensure that the youth are getting appropriate amount of supervision and structure. Space is limited and each potential candidate will go through an interview and review process. There is a fee for this program. Click here for an application. Applications are due by April 1st.

Marshwood Youth Football Camp

This camp will be designed to develop fundamentals of football in a safe, encouraging environment. Campers will wear helmets and shoulder pads. Members of the Marshwood High School Football Team and Coaching Staff will direct the camp.

Marshwood High School Football Camp

Topics Covered: Speed and Agility Drills, Chalkboard / Playbook Discussions, Individual, Group and Team Offensive Football Drills and Skills, Individual, Group and Team Defensive Football Drills and Skills, Punt, Pass + Kick Competitions, and 7 on 7 Touch Football Games.

The First Tee Golf Camp

Participants are placed into appropriate levels of instruction based on input from parents and an assessment of their current skill level. The First Tee of the Seacoast promotes and reinforces the Core Values of the First Tee: Honesty, Confidence, Responsibility, Perseverance, Courtesy, and Judgement.

The First Tee ~ Target Program

The Target program is an introductory program designed to expose children ages 5-7 to the world of golf. The program meets for three days, one hour a day and provides children the opportunity to learn the skills of golf while also gaining the appropriate skills necessary to conduct oneself appropriately on the course.

US Sports Institute ~ Multi-Sport Camp

Experience over 15 different sports from around the world with the US Sports Institute. All activities will take place in an atmosphere which promotes good sportsmanship teamwork and most of all fun. Participants will receive Technical Instruction in each sport then experience the sport in a realistic game situation as well as participating in the exciting USSI World Cup Competition. Participants will receive a t-shirt and certificate. This is the only sports program truly dedicated to children of all sporting abilities.

US Sports Institute ~ Sports Squirts

The Sport Squirts program introduces children aged 3 to 5 to a variety of sports such as Soccer, T-ball, Basketball, Lacrosse and Hockey, all taking place in a safe structured environment ensuring learning is taking place. Activities are designed to evoke a child’s imagination in which they can Find Nemo, send Shrek into a spin or capture Jellyfish with Sponge Bob Square Pants. All activities promote hand-eye coordination, movement and balance and most importantly Fun, Fun, Fun.

Seacoast United Soccer Camp

Join the Seacoast United Soccer club for a week-long soccer camp for boys and girls of all ability levels. Participants should bring a ball, shin guards, and a drink each day. Click here for a Seacoast United registration form.
