Heather Muzeroll, Director
Heather took over the role of director of ECSD in August 2005. Prior to that, she was the assistant director four years. As director, Heather oversees all day-to-day operations of the department, including parks and facilities, staff, budget, programming and marketing.
She holds a B.S. degree with a concentration in Human Services and Athletics from the College of St. Joseph in Rutland, Vermont. While at St. Joseph she was a four-year starter for both the basketball and softball teams, serving as team captain her final two seasons.
Heather grew up in and currently lives in Eliot. Her hobbies include coaching the Marshwood High School girls’ varsity basketball team, playing basketball in two different women’s leagues, playing in a co-ed softball summer league, various outdoor activities such as kayaking, hiking, camping and spending time with family.
Natalie Gould, Assistant Director
Natalie took over as assistant director at ECSD in March 2006. She is responsible for assisting the director with day-to-day operations of the department, supervising program staff, and planning, promoting, administering and evaluating programs for the department.
Prior to being promoted to assistant director, Natalie served as the ECSD youth program coordinator for three years. Previously, she worked as an AmeriCorps member for the American Red Cross of Central Massachusetts, the assistant aquatic director at the Greater Portland YMCA, and as both program director and waterfront director for the Worcester County 4-H Center — Camp Marshall.
Natalie holds a bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Recreation Administration from Unity College. She and her husband live in Berwick with their daughter, Angela.
Kyle Lewis , Youth Program Coordinator
Kyle joined the ECSD as the youth program coordinator in January 2008. His responsibilities include planning, supervising and implementing youth activities, camps and leagues.
Kyle has been working with youth through sports and mentoring for the past several years.
Kyle earned his bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management and Policy with a focus area in Youth Development from the University of New Hampshire. Kyle played football at UNH for 4 years. Kyle currently resides in Durham.
Julie Kahler, Special Events & Senior Citizens Coordinator
As the special events coordinator, Julie coordinates volunteers and plans all ECSD events, including the Winter Carnival, Tree Lighting, Halloween Party, Egg Hunt, Summer Concert Series, Senior Clambake and Fall Festival. She also plays a key role in planning fundraising events for the department.
Julie also serves as the Senior Program Coordinator, planning trips, outings and activities for the seniors in Eliot.
Prior to joining ECSD, Julie worked as an administrative assistant to a department head at the University of Maine in Old Town, and managed inventory systems for the Purdue Memorial Union at Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Business Administration and associate’s degrees in both Recreation & Leisure Management and Hotel & Restaurant Management. Julie and her family live in Eliot.
Amanda Breton, Director, KidsPLAY
Amanda joined ECSD as the director of KidsPLAY in September 2006. Her responsibilities include planning and supervising day to day activities for the after-school program.
Prior to joining ECSD, Amanda worked with the Rye Recreation Department. She was with the department for six years, and for the past three years she served as the Assistant Program Director, dividing her time between their after-school program and their summer camp program.
Amanda holds a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Educational Studies from the University of Southern Maine. She and her husband live in Sanford with their daughter, Allison.
