About Us
The Eliot Community Service Department has existed since July 1997. Prior
to 1997, the department was a volunteer Parks and Recreation Committee, operating
on a very limited budget. In this short time the department has seen tremendous
growth with program expansion and capital improvement projects.
Currently ECSD services nearly 4,000 individuals through involvement with over 150 programs and events throughout the year. The staff at the ECSD have created well over 100 programs and special events that serve nearly 4,000 people. Our staff continually strive to meet the needs of the community from children through senior citizens.
Our mission
The mission of the Eliot Community Service Department is to provide services that will strengthen families, develop a sense of community, increase recreational opportunities, and better the quality of life in Eliot while maintaining respect for its past and dedication to its future.
